What Do You Need To Enter The United States By
Land?
Canadian and American citizens do not require a passport or visa to enter the United States directly
from Canada by land.
Canadians and Americans can still enter the United States by providing proof of
citizenship, such as a birth certificate and government-issued photo identification
(e.g. driver’s license).
What You Need To Enter The United States By Air?
For travel to the United States by air and sea, the generally available options are
- a passport
- or a NEXUS air card when used at a kiosk
